Welcome to Farmersville High School Family & Consumer Sciences

I attended the University of North Texas and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Vocational Home Economics Education. I have been teaching at Farmersville High School since 2008 and I am also the FCCLA Advisor.

Family and Consumer Sciences Education focuses on individuals and families living in society throughout the life span. This academic discipline combines aspects of social and natural science. FCS deals with the relationship between individuals, families, and communities, and the environment in which they live. The field represents many disciplines including consumer science, nutrition, food preparation, parenting, early childhood education, family economics and resource management, human development, interior design, textiles, apparel design, as well as other related subjects.
